2010 CBW Regional U/13 Cricket Tournament

I am happy to report that arrangements for the Tournament are running smoothly and general info. such as residential detail and venue  postcodes will be forwarded to you around the 3rd week of July.

 

Accomodation has been booked for all teams from Sunday 1 Aug to Thursday 5 Aug( N W and N E Wales teams will stay only the Mon, Tues and Wed evenings).

 

Please ensure that your squad has its own minibus available at all times during the four days.  ALL players are expected to be with their squad at ALL times during the 4 days

 

There will be a meeting of Team Managers and Coaches at the end of the first day (after evening meal – approx. 20 mins))  to sort out any problems, collate match reports, give out balls etc.  The meeting time for the next few days will be decided at this meeting.  It is essential for at least one Coach or Manager from each Region to attend  all meetings.  Please note, no other adult individual will be permitted to attend meetings, only the team manager or/and coach.

 

It should also be noted that no other adults, (Regional/County Representatives, Coaches or Parents) will be permitted to stay in the University Campus during the Tournament.

 

If you know you are definitely going to select a girl(s) for your squad – or that the Coach or Manager is female – please let me know as soon as you are able, as this needs to be addressed with the Residency Manager at the University ( if yes, you may wish to consider an “adult female Companion” if you feel it is appropriate – this may affect residency also).

 

Coaches and Managers will be expected to be fully responsible for their squad at all times during the  4 days – evening entertainment is not provided .

In order to allow the University to allocate the necessary rooms and for me to produce a Tournament Programme, it is vital that I receive from you, a list of your Squad Members (13 in total) and the name and contact details ( inc. Mobile Phone No.)  of your Coach and Manager attending over the four days.  Please ensure this is returned to me no later than  9 July 2010 .

                                                                                                                               

I have attached the Tournament Schedule of Matches and the general CBW Regional Tournament Rules, plus a Match Report Form for your 4 matches (please copy x 4) – please digest!

 

Can I take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the Cricket Board of Wales for working hard over the last few months to prepare your squad for the this festival of Welsh Junior Cricket. .
